Flowers & Plants
Flowers and plants seen a little differently—through light, shadow, shape, and texture. I am drawn to the character I find in them, from a flower just beginning to open to one beginning to fade. These photographs are less about identifying the plant and more about seeing the beauty and personality I find within it.

When I photographed these poppies, I thought I was simply photographing flowers. As I began processing the images, I found that each one seemed to have its own personality. This one had to be called Glow because the light makes the poppy seem to glow from within.
