A Pursuit of Light

A pursuit of light enhances all of Barbara’s black-and-white work. From the subject she chooses to the settings on her camera, everything is designed to enhance the light of the scene. Her purposeful processing endeavors to identify that light, then use it to draw the viewer’s attention to her subject.

Whether she is photographing grand landscapes, intimate scenes, plants, or people, her focus is always on how light interacts with the subject.

Barbara’s work has been exhibited and recognized with awards at venues including the San Diego County Fair, Orange County Fair, Carlsbad-Oceanside Art League, Front Porch Gallery, Oceanside Museum of Art, Ashton Gallery, Yavapai College Gallery, and Sedona Art Center. She has also exhibited through the Sedona Visual Arts Coalition’s Open Studios and Made in Clarkdale, as well as through camera club and Southern California Association of Camera Clubs exhibitions.

Her work has been published in several LensWork Publishing publications. She continues to explore new subjects and discover new ways to share her black-and-white photography.
