Seeing Differently
Familiar things can look very different when we stop and really look at them. A plant becomes curves and patterns, water becomes light and movement, and weathered wood reveals textures shaped by time. These photographs began with something I recognized, but I was drawn to what I saw when I looked closer. I invite you to look again and see what you may have missed before.

One leaf among many held these small drops of water as they shimmered in the sunlight. I was drawn to the way something so small could become the focus of the photograph. The drops brought another layer of light and texture to the leaf.
