Seeing Differently
Familiar things can look very different when we stop and really look at them. A plant becomes curves and patterns, water becomes light and movement, and weathered wood reveals textures shaped by time. These photographs began with something I recognized, but I was drawn to what I saw when I looked closer. I invite you to look again and see what you may have missed before.

The curves in this photograph simply stood out to me. I was drawn into the fluidity of the leaves as they overlapped one another. Looking closely, the plant became less about what it was and more about the movement, lines, and relationships created by those curves.
