Seeing Differently
Familiar things can look very different when we stop and really look at them. A plant becomes curves and patterns, water becomes light and movement, and weathered wood reveals textures shaped by time. These photographs began with something I recognized, but I was drawn to what I saw when I looked closer. I invite you to look again and see what you may have missed before.

This is another of the old corral posts that caught my attention. Years of weathering created deep grooves, cracks, and patterns in the wood. The small details became much more interesting when I moved in close, revealing a character that would have been easy to miss from a distance.
