Seeing Differently
Familiar things can look very different when we stop and really look at them. A plant becomes curves and patterns, water becomes light and movement, and weathered wood reveals textures shaped by time. These photographs began with something I recognized, but I was drawn to what I saw when I looked closer. I invite you to look again and see what you may have missed before.

Another view of the weathered corral wood, where the grain and knots create their own natural patterns. I was fascinated by the swirling lines and the evidence of time written into the surface. The closer I looked, the less I saw simply as an old post and the more I saw as an intricate design.
